“I have known Stefan since his undergraduate studies at Guy’s Hospital during his King’s College London Bachelor of Dental Science years. Back then as Lecturer and Clinical Demonstrator I noticed Stefan’s great passion and dedication to Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. King’s College London University under the leadership of Professor Mannocci was lucky to have very advanced Endodontic teaching involving Specialists’ supervision and the ultimate equipment including operating microscopes and 3D CBCT.
Stefan embarked on the Endodontic Specialty training once exposed to restorative practice, but what truly set him apart was his decision to gain invaluable and extensive expertise and experience in restorative practice first, which gave him a unique, holistic understanding of how endodontics fits into a patient’s overall dental health. When Stefan joined the highly selective KCL Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontology program, he showed a great level of starting clinical skills putting him ahead of his peers, especially in the broader restorative and full mouth rehabilitation consideration.
During his final years of Specialist Training he became more and more involved in the provision of teaching to general dentists and specialist dentists, being part of the Faculty of the blended learning MSc in Endodontics I used to lead at KCL. The feedback from the postgraduate dentists has been always fantastic I always felt extremely confident to delegate to him the running of teaching hands on sessions.
I always appreciated his will to give back to his peers and students by teaching and advising and sharing his expertise. He has been a huge contributor of Specialist teaching at the KCL Master in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontology when he joined back as Specialist Demonstrator. Recently he followed me in a move to new pastures from KCL to the worldwide renowned University College London Eastman Dental Institute, one of the worldwide leading postgraduate training focused centres in dental training.
